New kid on the block: Passion ez-link Card

By Jake Chng

COMMUTERS now have another multi-purpose card with ez-link functions to choose from, the fourth introduced in the last two years.

The Passion ez-link Card, which combines the People's Association (PA) membership card with an ez-link card, was soft-launched more than a week ago by PA, EZ-Link and its partner, PaymentLink.

PA chief executive director Tan Boon Huat said: "With this card, we want to attract and retain more customers."

The card comes with exclusive benefits. For example, cardholders get twice the number of chances to win in an SMRT Corporation lucky draw when they use their cards on its buses and trains.

From April, they can get points for using the card, and redeem them for products at Dairy Farm Singapore stores.

The PA will set up 105 top-up terminals in all community centres by year-end.

It costs $15 to sign up for, or to renew, a five-year membership.

But it will cost $12 during the next two years, for new members aged 18 to 60.

Current PA members can pay $7 to $9 to convert their old cards into new ones.

Events manager Albert Kuck, 32, who did so, said: "I have one fewer card in my wallet because of this multi-purpose card. It's so convenient."
