Pioneer launches new head unit

Audiophiles have another reason to rejoice as Pioneer has unveiled its latest CD tuner that is the first to feature an in-built high precision signal processor.

Pioneer's renowned 4-way Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is now built in without the new for a separate blackbox, saving on costs and allowing for tuning capabilities while maintaining digital signal quality.

High, mid-range, mid-base and subwoofer channels can be individually managed through four powerful convertors. This translates to a dynamic range and signal/noise ration of 120 decibels.

A wide range of audio players can be connected via the USB input including WMA, MP3, AAC and WAV and other media formats. With iPods, music can be controlled from the head unit or the portable player itself (optional cable required).

The rotary commander remote control can be steering wheel mounted, while you can also choose from five preset colours to match the DEX-P99Rs's buttons and fascia plate with your car's interior.

The DEX-P99Rs is retailing at S$2,099 and available through Pioneer authorized dealers.
