6 ways to protect your bike

Besides handlebar locks, install additional locks on the bike's front and rear wheels.

Install immobilisers, which prevent engines from being started without special keys.

At night, park in a well-lit spot, and in view of a security camera if possible.

Attach and lock your bike to something immovable and solid, such as a strong pole. This makes it harder for thieves to steal your bike.

If you're with a biker buddy, use a chain lock to secure both bikes together.

Never leave the keys in your bike's ignition, even if you are only going to be away for a few seconds.
