>SEOUL - UP to 1,600 pigs were killed in a fire on Sunday at a South Korean farm near the border with North Korea, a fire official said.

A glitch in the heating system is blamed for the pre-dawn blaze about 15 km from the border in the Cheorwon county of the northern Gangwon province, the official said by telephone based on a preliminary survey. -- REUTERS
