M'sian police looking for medium's other rape victims

KLANG (Malaysia): Police are investigating if more people had fallen prey to a 29-year old temple medium, who has been remanded in connection with the rape of three women.

"We believed there are more than just three victim, aged 17, 19 and 22. The Others have not come forward," said Klang district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Mat Yusop Friday.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday after the trio lodged police reports against him.

He added that the man, who works as a painter, has been offering his services as a medium to those living in the Kapar area since April this year.

It was reported earlier that the man who claimed to have the power to "exorcise" evil spirits allegedly raped the victims after giving them spiked drinks.

The medium claimed to have the power to banish evil spirits, but he allegedly preyed on his female customers' fears to rape them. And he allegedly targeted only the pretty ones. The medium, who held a regular job as a technician, allegedly told one victim that he could get rid of the "evil spirits" by having sex with her.

He was said to have told pretty girls that they were possessed while rejecting plain-looking women.
