BUTTERWORTH, MALAYSIA: A Form Four student has been detained after his schoolmate alleged that he raped her.

The 14-year-old teenager claimed that she was raped in a makeshift hut near her parents' home in Bagan Dalam here about 8pm last Wednesday.

It is learnt that the girl had earlier invited the 16-year-old suspect, who is from Lunas, Kedah, to her house when her parents were out.

They later went for a walk before the suspect forced her into a hut and raped her.

Her parents lodged a report the following day after the girl told them about the incident.

The suspect was picked up from his house in Lunas on Monday.
