KUALA TERENGGANU, MALAYSIA: After ransacking a home in Jalan Datuk Isaacs, all a would-be thief stole was forty winks!

He didn't wake up until the police arrived at the flat, where the homeowner had found him sleeping in his bed.

A 38-year-old insurance officer had taken his family out just before lunch on Saturday.

When the family returned at 3.30pm, they found the living room and kitchen ransacked.

The man found the suspect fast asleep on the bed and immediately called the police. State CID chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Hazam Abdul Halim said police arrested a 29-year-old labourer from Kampung Kubang Jela in Manir.

Police believe the suspect, who later tested positive for drugs, broke in through the roof of the building.

He is being held at the Kuala Terengganu police station, under investigation for trespassing.
