A young girl was almost kidnapped by two men on a motorcycle in front of the Klang Parade on Jan 27.

Fortunately, the kidnap attempt was foiled by former policeman Mohamad Yassin Fateh Mohamad, 45, who was with several friends at a restaurant near the mall.

"I yelled at them to let go of the girl. They were shocked and fled. The child later said that she had been running along the road, looking for her mother," said Mohamad Yassin who called the police.

Mohamad Yassin said he did not take note of the motorcycle's registration number as he was focussing on saving the girl, identified only as Ain. -Harian Metro
