The Straits Times

TWO men suspected to be involved in at least six motorcycle thefts in Sengkang and Serangoon housing estates were caught on Monday.

The two, aged 19 and 21, were nabbed in separate police ambush.

The younger man was arrested at the car park of Block 237 Hougang Street 21 at 7.45am on Monday.

His 21-year-old accomplice was arrested later at Hougang Avenue 8.

Four motorcycles reported missing have since been recovered.

Several motorcycles had been reported missing from the carparks of Senkang and Serangoon housing estates since Jan 17.

Police advised motorcycle owners to remove the ignition key and lock the vehicle when left unattended, secure the motorcycle with an additional wheel-lock and park it in well-lit areas.
