Singing contest finalist charged with stabbing teen

>A finalist in a popular singing contest was charged in court on Thursday with stabbing another teen with four other accomplices on Feb 27 outside the ITE College in Bishan Street 14.

Kassreeal Alfi Kaswan, 18, a finalist in the Anugerah singing contest, televised on Medicorp's Suria channel, was also charged with burning the victim with a lighted cigarette on the same day.

He can be jailed up to seven years and caned, if convicted.
