SELAYANG, MALAYSIA - Two armed robbers grabbed about RM70,000 worth of jewellery from a goldsmith shop here.

A man wearing a helmet and armed with a pistol and hammer barged into the shop at 3.15pm and started smashing showcases and scooping jewellery into bags while his accomplice waited outside.

Only a female shop assistant was on duty and no customer was in the shop.

Forty-five minutes later in Batu Caves, two goldsmith shop workers were robbed of RM30,000 as they were walking towards a bank to deposit the cash.

Two robbers distracted them before snatching one of the bags containing the cash.
