>OSAKA, JAPAN - The Osaka High Court on Tuesday sentenced a 23-year-old man to 11 years in prison for burying a university student alive in Okayama in 2006, overruling a lower court's ruling sentencing him to nine years in prison.

The defendant, Yuta Tokumitsu, unemployed, was charged with the confinement and murder of the university student. Two other defendants--Yuki Sato, 23, a former Higashiosaka College student and Hiroshi Sayama, 23, unemployed--were also charged.

Presiding Judge Hiroshi Furukawa said Tokumitsu had not faced up to his crime nor shown remorse for his actions.
