KUALA TERENGGANU, MALAYSIA: A 55-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping and sexually abusing his 14-year-old daughter for the last three years.

He was detained after the girl lodged a report on Friday, claiming he had raped and abused her several times. The last rape occurred in March.

The girl claimed he fondled her private parts while they were riding a motorcycle back to their house in Kampung Bukit Wan.

She decided she could not take the abuse any more and lodged a report at the Bukit Rakit police station.

State Criminal Investigation Department deputy chief Superintendent Khairi Ahrasa said the girl was sent to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for a medical examination.
