Woman on maid abuse charges

A WOMAN was hauled to court on Tuesday for allegedly abusing her Indonesian maid.

Tay Wan Leng, 41, is accused of punching her maid, Istikomah, twice on her chest, three times on her stomach and pulling her hair at a flat in Woodlands on Jan 21.

She is also alleged to have pinched the maid on her right arm, pulled her shirt and slapped her all over several times the next day.
