>TAMPIN, MALAYSIA: Five transvestites, who wore revealing clothes to shoplift in several malls in the country, were arrested last week when the management of a shopping centre here caught wind of their "shopping" spree.

District acting police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Isa Ujang said they were smooth operators who shoplifted during busy hours.

"They would pretend to shop with their boyfriends while slowly stuffing items into their bags," he said yesterday.

"We are still looking for two more mak nyah (transgenders)."

The suspects have been remanded for five days.
