JOHOR BARU, Malaysia: A man's body has been found in a mangrove swamp near the Zon Regency Hotel.

The body was discovered by a passer-by at about 6.30pm on Friday.

Johor deputy CID chief Asst Comm Che Yusoff Che Ngah said the body had been sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a post mortem.

"We have not identified the body as we did not find any document on him.

"We have not determined whether it was murder or suicide. There were no visible marks or bruises on him," he said when contacted here yesterday.

ACP Che Yusoff urged anyone with information to contact the police hotline at 07-221 2999 or the nearest police station.
