KUALA TERENGGANU (Malaysia): Police are looking for a man who locked his neighbour's 30-year-old wife in a house and went after her aunt with a parang on Friday evening.

The wife and her aunt were at the porch of the latter's house in Lorong Sekolah Kebangsaan Chendering when the man approached them at 6pm and demanded money.

When they turned down the request, the man became aggressive and pushed the wife into the house and locked her in. The aunt fled the scene.

State Criminal Investigation Department deputy chief Superintendent K. Manoharan said the man rushed to his house a few metres away, grabbed a parang and returned.

He spotted the aunt and gave chase but ran away when several villagers came to her aid.
