Woman found dead in house ransacked

TANGKAK: A 59-year-old woman who lived alone was found dead, believed murdered, while her house was ransacked.

The discovery was made by her daughter who went to visit her yesterday.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Nasir Ramli said police believe Dahliah Abdul Majid had been dead for more than a day.

He said the woman, who lived in Taman Sri Tangkak, could have been murdered by someone who stole her cellphone, a purse and car.
