Charged with trying to kill wife

KUANTAN, MALAYSIA: Lorry driver Mohd Zammri Yaakob Musa, 42, of Kampung Peramu, was charged at the magistrate's court yesterday with attempting to kill his wife.

He pleaded not guilty to pushing his wife into a river from the Bukit Rangin bridge at 12.25am on Jan 6.

She was rescued by police .

Magistrate Nordiana Abdul Aziz set bail at RM3,800 in two sureties and fixed Feb 2 for mention.

Nordiana also ordered Zammri not to harass his wife or have any contact with her.
