Charged with stabbing mum

AN UNEMPLOYED man was hauled to court on Friday for stabbing his mother with a pair of scissors.

Low Boon Cheng, 38, is said to have stabbed Madam Ng Kim Choo, in her 70s, on the face and forearm in the kitchen of his flat in Woodlands Drive 60 on Wednesday.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to seven years or fine or caning or any combination of the punishment.
