IN MAY 2008, Heng Yong Hao, 26, drove his lorry into the premises of Nexus Sealand Trading to pick up 38 rolls of welding cable wires worth $25,300.

The month after, it was 80 rolls, worth $34,400. This went on regularly until September 2008.

The thefts were only discovered by the management of the trading firm in Feb 2009 and Heng was jailed for 1 1/2 years on Monday for retaining stolen property.
