GRUESOME FIND: An overpowering stench led a building owner to a staircase landing where he discovered toes protruding from the floor.

On closer inspection, he discovered rotting flesh.

Police later took several hours yesterday to hack away the concrete floor where they found the remains of a woman which were later taken to the KL Hospital mortuary.

Police believe the woman, possibly in her 20s, was murdered last week and buried under a thin layer of concrete at the landing inside a four-storey shoplot in Kuala Lumpur.
