TWO men were arrested on Monday morning for suspected involvement in loanshark activities in two separate cases.

In the first case, following up on information received, police officers conducted an anti-loanshark operation in the vicinity of Bangkit Road and arrested a 51-year-old male suspect at about 8.25 am.

Preliminary investigations have indicated that the man was a debtor-turned-runner who had assisted loansharks to collect loan repayments from other debtors.
