KLANG, MALAYSIA: An Indonesian maid, who has a wound on her leg as well as bruises on her arms and face, was rescued by police from a house in Taman Sentosa yesterday.

Mautik Hani, 36, from Surabaya was found in the toilet of the house about 7pm following a tip-off from a neighbour.

The victim was believed to have worked in the house for the past two months and she was locked in the toilet two days before she was found.

She was rushed to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah hospital. Klang district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Mat Yusop said police detained a 29-year-old woman, believed to be Mautik's employer, for investigation.

Mautik did not have a valid travel document when she was found.
