Attempted robbery charge

A CHINESE national was charged in court on Wednesday with trying to rob a taxi driver along Sims Avenue.

Zhou Sunfu, 27, who is on social visit pass, allegedly tried to rob Mr Robert Lee Khee Choon by putting him in fear of bodily hurt at about 5.25am on Monday.

The 61-year-old cabby was warded in hospital after his taxi crashed into a pillar in front of a shophouse. His condition is now stable.
