Unable to endure any more abuse, a 13-year-old girl lodged a police report against her father and brother for allegedly molesting her for over a year, reported Harian Metro.

Last Friday's incident at her home in Bukit Permai, Ampang, was the last straw for the Form One student.

Police have detained her 41-year-old father and her 17-year-old brother.

Police sources said the victim claimed that her father had rubbed her private parts while she was asleep and that she had kept mum at first but later realised that his act was wrong.

In her report, she said her brother had also molested her last year.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abd Jalil Hassan said medical checks showed the victim was not raped. Investigations into whether she was molested are on-going, he added.

"The father and brother have been remanded for seven days. However, the brother was released as he will be sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) soon," said ACP Abd Jalil.

Initial investigations showed that the girl's father had previous criminal records.
