POLICEMEN from the Johor narcotics division had a shock when they detained 200 people during a raid on an entertainment outlet - 10 of those held were their colleagues.

China Press reported that the 10 policemen were off-duty.

Police are now trying to determine why they were at the premises.

The daily also reported that the policemen underwent urine tests and the results were negative.

Johor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said that according to their standing orders, policemen were not supposed to patronise nightspots after working hours.

He said the police disciplinary board would take action if any of their men were found to be involved in illegal activities.
