KUCHING: A 44-year-old taxi driver was found stabbed in the neck at Batu Kitang on Monday night. His body was found slumped in a pool of blood on the back seat of his taxi by a colleague who decided to check on him after several calls went unheeded.

The victim, Lim See Kiat, was believed to have ferried a passenger from town to the location he was found at, some 20km away, at 9pm.

Police found a bloodied knife on the dashboard and ruled out robbery as all of Lim's belongings were intact.

They also found an Indonesian passport in the taxi.

Bau police chief Deputy Superintendent Vincent Ajeng Laing: "Investigations show that he was attacked from the back of the vehicle, possibly by the passenger."
