MALAYSIA - AN OVERZEALOUS couple who were due to be married in two days were nabbed by the Malacca Religious Department (Jaim) for committing khalwat (close proximity), reported Harian Metro.

The couple, both in their 30s, were caught in the bride-to-be's home at around 2am following a tip-off.

According to Jaim enforcement officials, the couple took some 30 minutes to open the door when the premise was raided.

Questioned later the man alleged that he had only visited his fiancee to bring her some medicine for her headache and discuss their marriage plans.
