Student survives crash into wall below flyover

PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA - A Form Five student cheated death when his sports car crashed into a wall below a flyover here.

Mohd Aliff, 17, escaped with only a broken leg after he lost control of his car on his way home from the school library yesterday.

He was rushed to the Damansara Specialist Hospital.

In the 3.30pm incident below the flyover opposite Phileo Damansara, Mohd Aliff's car collided with a car he was trying to overtake before he skidded and crashed into the wall.

'Everything happened very quickly,' said Mohd Aliff's friend, who wanted to be known only as Arif.

He was following in another car.

Curious onlookers caused a massive jam that brought traffic heading towards Damansara to a standstill.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car Mohd Aliff was trying to overtake said he heard a loud crash.

Azizan Ismail, 48, said he and his family were heading back home to Manjung in Perak after visiting a relative here.

None of them were injured.
