In the first incident, a flat in Block 73A, Redhill Road was broken into when the occupant went to stay at her parents' home for a few days.

The woman left her flat at about 7 pm on Oct 26. When two of her relatives went to her place on Thursday to pick up some items, they found the main door and gate open, and the apartment ransacked.

A $250 DVD player, two watches worth $2,200, a $250 handphone and jewellery worth $7,500 were missing.

In the second break-in at Block 114, Hougang Avenue 1, a woman found the bedroom window, facing a common corridor, forced open, and that the wardrobes in the bedrooms ransacked.
