A SINGAPOREAN woman in her 50s was found dead in a condominium in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. A tenant at the condominium, an Algerian male aged 24, has been arrested by Malaysian Police. Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigations Department chief Ku Chin Wah told The Straits Times on Sunday that the victim was believed to have fallen from the first storey of a high-end condominium on Saturday morning after a night of heavy drinking. She is said to have arrived there the day before. A security guard at the condominium saw the suspect carry the victim up to the apartment after the fall. The suspect later called his landlord to ask him to collect a television from the apartment. The landlord became suspicious when told by the guard about what he had seen earlier. He reported the incident to the police in the late evening. The suspect was later arrested in Jalan Alor. Police searched the apartment early on Sunday morning and found the woman's body wrapped in a blanket. Singapore police have been requested to locate her next of kin. Malaysian Police have classified this as a suspected murder case and the suspect is remanded until Nov 9.
