Elderly woman seriously injured in accident

An elderly woman was seriously injured after she was hit by a motorcycle along Joo Chiat Road on Thursday morning.

The motorcyclist in his early 20s was riding along Joo Chiat Road towards Marine Parade when he crashed into the pedestrian near Joo Chiat Complex on at about 7.15am.

The woman who was in her early 70s suffered head injuries and was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She is warded at the intensive care unit.
