Motorcyclist dies after crashing into bus

A MOTORCYCLIST in his mid-20s died after his bike crashed into the back of a private bus along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Tuesday evening.

He was caught under the rear left tyre of the bus, which was carrying passengers at the time, and suffered head injuries.

Paramedics declared him dead at the scene at 6.25pm.

The bus driver, a man in his late 30s, was arrested and has been released on police bail.

In another accident, a motorcyclist in her 30s suffered head injuries after ramming into the back of a stationary trailer along Mountbatten Road in the direction of East Coast Road on Tuesday morning.

The trailer had stopped on the left lane of the road when the accident occured at about 9am. The motorcyclist was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
