The names of the nine Downtown Line 2 (DTL2) stations have been shortlisted and are available for public polling, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a statement.

These names were shortlisted from more than 3,000 names received from the public, who were invited to submit their suggestions in July this year.

The public can poll for their preferred station names (see table below) via LTA's portal at http://talk2lta.lta.gov.sg. The closing date for polling is Friday, Oct 31.

However, the three interchange stations at Little India, Newton and Botanic Gardens are not included in the polling exercise as these are official station names.

The results of the polling will be collated and sent to the Street and Building Names Board for their final approval. Results will be made known in December.
