A WOMAN was robbed of more than $40 in cash and valuables early on Friday morning.

The 18-year-old was walking along Kallang river, opposite Block 44, Bendemeer Road when a man came up from behind and elbowed her in the face. He grabbed her bag after she fell and fled towards Serangoon Road.

She lost $30, a cellphone, an MP3 player and personal documents.
