SPH Magazines Pte Ltd ("SPH Magazines") retained its leading position in the magazines industry with its publications clinching top spots in the recent Nielsen Media Index 2009 survey.
Her World, Singapore's No.1 Women's Magazine, stayed on top in the women's magazine category with a readership of 196,000. The publication, which was revamped earlier this year, continued to engage its modern and stylish readers with its sophisticated layout, engaging reads, and up-to-date fashion and beauty news.
The readership for Men's Health has taken a great leap from 70,000 in 2008 to 105,000 in 2009. Its recent design revamp and renewed focus to be the '100% useful', men's publication covering all aspects of a man's life sealed its top position as the No. 1 Men's Magazine in Singapore once again.
Young Parents topped the parenting magazine category with a readership of 45,000, registering an increase from 43,000 last year. Following its revamp in May this year and the incorporation of Baby as a permanent fixture within the pages, Young Parents continues to offer compelling content, practical tips and trusted information for parents of children across all age groups.
Staying strong in the home decor and design category, Home & Decor, Singapore's No. 1 Interior Design Magazine, once again reigned with a readership of 82,000.
Nuyou, SPH Magazines' Chinese women magazine, saw an impressive increase in readership from 30,000 last year to 36,000 this year. With its recent revamp to be a wholistic read reflecting the Asian woman's perspective on fashion, beauty and life, Nuyou attracts bilingual female readers who are keen on the latest trends and styles in Asia.
Female, Singapore's leading fashion and beauty magazine, stayed strong with a readership of 135,000. Other SPH Magazines' titles which did well in the survey included Simply Her, Seventeen and Shape.

The Nielsen Media Index is a survey conducted by The Nielsen Company, a global information and media company that is active in over 100 countries. It interviewed 4,687 respondents. Results are weighted by age, sex, race to represent the population in Singapore, aged 15 and above.
