THERE ARE just a couple hundred parkour practitioners (or traceurs) in Singapore and out of these, only a handful are women according to Ashton Law, one of the pioneers of parkour here.

Law, 24, suggests that this could be due to women feeling left out at the mostly male-centric parkour jams or practices.

Now the male-dominated sport is set to see a change in membership as it enters the mainstream consciousness with Starhub Urban Freestyle, a parkour-inspired running event in April.

Find out more about this urban sport on RazorTV.
