House observes minute's silence for Dr Goh

MEMBERS of Parliament observed a minute of silence yesterday as a mark of respect for Dr Goh Keng Swee.

Speaker Abdullah Tarmugi paid tribute to the former deputy prime minister who died last Friday: "Dr Goh had made significant impact on parliamentary debates through his intellect, wit and style.

"His wise counsel and unselfish advice to all...will also be well remembered."
