3.15pm: PUB has announced that flash floods along Bukit Timah Rd, Dunearn Rd and Orchard Rd have subsided.

SINGAPORE - Residents in many parts of Singapore woke up to another heavy downpour this morning.

In its latest report, the PUB said that two lanes along Bukit Timah Road were impassable to traffic. PUB is the national water agency that manages Singapore's water supply.

It said that the Kranji Expressway at the slip road towards Woodlands was impassable to traffic and advised drivers to avoid these roads.

Meanwhile, netizens across the Republic alert the media to flood in several areas, including the Sennett Estate near Potong Pasir, MacPherson, Toa Payoh, and the Balestier area.

The floods had caused vehicles to be stuck on MacPherson Lane earlier this morning, said kom on citizen journalism website STOMP.

Two malls along Orchard Road were also affected by floods - Tanglin Mall and Forum Galleria. Netizens sent in photos showing flooding in the basement level of both malls.

In the east, heavy rain with occasional thunder continued for at least two hours before tapering off after 8.30am, drenching Pasir Ris, Tampines and Bedok.
