Assembly centre for Tan Jee Say approved

The Police Elections Liaison Office (PELO) has issued the permit for presidential candidate Tan Jee Say, to allow him use of the Bedok Stadium as an assembly centre on Polling Day.

His supporters and other members of the public may gather at the stadium, located at 1 Bedok North St 2, to wait for the results of the polls to be announced.

The assembly centres will be open from 8pm on Polling Day (August 27) to 30 minutes after the announcement of the last result of the Presidential Election.

When leaving the assembly centres, the police requests the cooperation of the crowd to do so in an orderly and peaceful manner.

Police officers will be deployed to ensure the safety and security of the public.
