The CCRC will comprise a proposed 5,000-seat theatre and a retail mall, both of which will be operated on a neutral basis, open for rental by the public.
Currently, IMG Artists, a prominent global performing arts management company, has been appointed as our marketing and management consultant for the theatre.
Any organisation or group, regardless of affiliation, can rent the venue with the necessary permits obtained from the authorities.
New Creation Church will be the theatre's anchor tenant, hiring the venue for its services on Sunday, and possibly one weekday night. This business arrangement is similar to what many public, commercial facilities have with other churches in Singapore.
We regret that Ms Joy Fang has not accurately conveyed these very important points in her report, and we would encourage her to contact us should she require further clarification.
In view of the facts just mentioned, we would also like to address inaccuracies in the letters by Mr Terence Yeo and Mr Jeffrey Law Lee Beng that were carried by my paper on March 17.
We would like to reiterate that the CCRC is not a church building, but a public lifestyle hub meant to create a vibrant social and cultural environment for the benefit of the entire community.
