Padang transformation for NDP 2010

Spectators can look forward to a better viewing experience at this year's National Day Parade, with new improvements to the seating gallery.

For the first time, the Padang grounds will be covered with recycled concrete to create a more stable platform for performers, and to prepare for the presidential drive-past.

For added comfort, foldable seats will be installed on the seating gallery, instead of plastic bucket ones.

17 support towers will also be constructed to support three LED screens, for enhanced viewing at the parade.

On National Day, fireworks will be set off from the top of these towers, allowing spectators and other Singaporeans to get dazzling views of the pyrotechnics display.
