Remember how boring physics classes used to be?
Not anymore. These students at Hwa Chong Institution got to build a roller coaster for a physics class to learn how to apply Newton's Laws of Motion to daily life.
"When we were doing the traditional way of teaching, it was more teacher-centered, but nowadays, it is definitely more student-centered," said Adeline Tan, Education Consultant Technology at Hwa Chong Instituion:
To stay in sync with the tech-saavy generation, teachers are adopting new ways of classroom teaching by infusing technology in the curriculum to stay in sync with the tech-saavy generation.
For example, Maris Stella High School students learn Maths using the popular game Wii, while Rivervale Primary School students use iPods to keep in touch with their parents when on overseas trips.
RazorTV visited these schools to find out more about the 'new-age' classroom - a classroom equipped with tech tools and one that encourages self-learning.
