Roads closed for Grand Prix fest

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - Jalan Bukit Bintang and the Jalan Bukit Bintang/Jalan Sultan Ismail junction will be closed to traffic tonight and tomorrow night for the Kuala Lumpur Grand Prix City Festival.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said the roads would be closed from 7pm till 10pm for festivities in front of the Yayasan Selangor building.

"Motorists are advised to stay away from these areas to avoid being caught in traffic congestion," DBKL said in a statement.

The public is invited to witness the festival by using public transportation.

DBKL and the Tourism Ministry, through the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Action Council, is staging the festival in conjunction with the prestigious Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix 2008 this Sunday.
