The Straits Times

THE SCHOOL placement exercise for young Singaporeans who have been living overseas and wish to enrol in schools here next year started on Monday.

Students will be tested on literacy, numeracy skills and general ability items to assess their levels of reasoning and thinking.

Registration ends on Oct 3 for students wishing to enter secondary schools and on Nov 14 for those who want to go to junior colleges or Millenia Institute.

A pilot supplementary placement exercise will be held this year to allow more Singaporeans to return to the country to take the tests.

Registration starts on Oct 14 and ends on Dec 12. Students will sit for the tests on Jan 2.
