Students learnt invaluable lessons

my paper

IT IS heartening to read the report "Teens raise $35,000 for kids? ' charity" (my paper, Aug 11). It is no mean feat to raise $35,000, but I am sure the experience gained from this project has taught the students something which money cannot buy.

Teachers of other secondary schools should encourage their students to spearhead charity projects under their guidance, so that they can also experience the joy of doing something for the poor and unfortunate.
