>MALAYSIA - PUPILS of SRK Sri Ladang in Rengit, Batu Pahat, have been waiting in vain for a computer laboratory to be set up in their school for the past eight years.

While their friends in other schools enjoy the facility, the 230 pupils of SRK Sri Ladang are still awaiting for the Education Ministry to deliver its promise, claims the school's parent-teacher association.

Association chairman Sahni Nasran said the PTA had sought an allocation to build a computer laboratory in the school in 2000. A follow-up to the matter was made three years later.

"After that, we received a reply informing that the lab would be built between 2007 and 2009, and we were required to allocate an area.

"However, until now there has been no news about it."

Sahni said an Internet wireless transmitter was installed in the school compound three years ago, but that was all.

"On behalf of the school, I would like to appeal to the authorities to build the lab as soon as possible."
