CHINA: A 21-year-old man who fell in love with his Chinese language teacher has locked himself inside his home for more than six months in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.

Tang Nan (not his real name) had also refused to leave his 9 sq m room to attend his father's funeral last year.

Tang was a secret admirer of his Chinese teacher ever since he was a grade two student in senior high school.

He failed the national entrance examination three times after the teacher refused his request for a date.

Tang's mother surnamed Wang doesn't know what to do except to talk to the media.
