IT'S power to both the boys and girls at Victoria Junior College (VJC).
For the first time in its history, VJC bagged both the boys and girls 'A' division Football Championship titles.
On 22 May, the girls team beat arch rivals St Andrews JC by three goals to one in a fiery showdown at Jalan Besar Stadium.
Three days later, VJC's boys soccer team scored a stoppage time goal to carve out a 3-2 victory over Meridian Junior College.
Its secret to winning?
Simple hard work.
Said Mr Tan Yew Hwee, 40, the teacher in charge of soccer: 'Both the boys and girls really wanted to win, so they trained really hard. It's our school's motto - nothing without labour.'
But VJC didn't bag all the 'A' division titles.
Raffles Institution reclaimed the 'A' Division Girls Tennis Championship title after beating VJC 3-2 in the finals on 20May.
